BUTTERWORTH, Katharine Mary Compton

Katharine Mary Compton Butterworth (1886-1956) was the first-cousin-once-removed of Charles Binyon, being the daughter of his cousin, Lucy Agnes Butterworth (née Remington).

Katharine Butterworth, known as Katie, was born on 20th October 1886 at Bamford, Lancashire, the daughter of the Reverend Compton Butterworth and his wife, Lucy Agnes (née Remington).  She was aged 17 when her father died in 1904.  At the time of the 1911 census, she was living with her widowed mother at The Flags, Cartmel.

Katharine died on 15th March 1956 at Leasgill, Milnthorpe, Westmorland.
