3. Visit to the National Archives

In October 2010, a group of Badsey Society volunteers travelled down to the National Archives at Kew. The aim was to photograph and transcribe the 1910 - 1915 land valuation survey which gives details of every building and every field. About the same time, work began on transcribing the 1911 census. Together, these two types of record give us valuable insights into a time when market gardening was at its peak in the Badsey area.

Here are the transcriptions of the 1910 - 1915 land valuation survey and the 1911 census, both fully indexed and linked together.
