Persian Bank Transfer Note 1918

Imperial Bank of Persia, bank transfer note, Hamadan, 15th August 1918.  Cyril Sladden arrived in Persia in August 1918, having trekked 600 miles across the Persian Hills in the little-known Dunsterforce campaign.  Arriving in the ancient city of Hamadan, this was his first opportunity to deal with his financial affairs.

He remained in Persia until returning to England in March 1919.  Subsequent transfer notes are for 30th September 1918 and 11th November at Resht.
