My grandfather was Maurice Holland, the son of Elizabeth and William. I'm so pleased to hear of this! When he was a lad, he lived with his family in Evesham. He was around 12 years old when his older brother died in action in France on Jan 1st 1918. My grandfather died in 2003, at the grand age of 97. He lived in Newton Road, Sparkhill, Birmingham. He had 2 sons John & Alan. Alan was my father, he passed away in 2016. John, my uncle, was the older of the two and he passed away last year, 2024.
