Hi Peter, Was your father in law Norman Smith and you married his daughter Audrey. I remember you both at PHGS.
An article has been put on the website recently under the heading 'BBC programme on the Vale of Evesham 1940' and Audrey's grandfather Ralph Smith gets a mention.
Although I come from a market gardening background I have never heard the saying Buggin's Hopper.
