July 1913 – Walter Wilson leaving St Benedict’s Boys’ Home
Mr Walter G Wilson, who came to Badsey last autumn as Head of St Benedict’s, the home for lads which Father Lopes has established at the Manor House, is leaving Badsey for Oxford to complete his preparation for Holy Orders. Dom Anselm, late of Caldy, will be in charge for the present. Mr Wilson has proved himself an exceedingly capable Hed and we shall look forward to seeing him back in Badsey for vacations.

It was this postcard which led Ray Jones of Worcester to contact the Badsey website in November 2011. He had recently bought at auction some postcards and photographs relating to George Henry Churchill. This postcard, sent to George’s wife, gave clues as to where the Churchills lived.
