BADSEY WHIST DRIVE

A very successful whist drive in aid of the Red Cross Hospital, Abbey Manor, organised by Mr H Marshall, was held in the Old Schools, Badsey, on Tuesday week. Mr J Sladden, in opening, said it was for a very good cause, and he wished to thank those who had so kindly helped and given prizes. The prizes, presented by Mrs Harris (Campden), were won by the following:

Ladies - H.Warner (Offenham, playing as lady) 1, F. Barnard (Badsey, playing as a lady) 2, T Careless (Littleton) 3, E Stanford (Badsey, missing number) 4, Gents - R Smith (Bretforton) 1, E Collett (Badsey) 2, S Knight (Badsey) 3, C Hall (Bretforton, missing number) 4.

£8 6s profit was made.
