STEALING APPLES

Robert Hemming, Jacob Attwood, Isaac Attwood, Charles Knight Junior and Albert Walker were summoned for stealing twelve apples, the property of Mr William Parker, farmer, of Badsey, on the 6th instant.  All defendants appeared, except Hemming.  Prosecutor did not wish to press the charge against the four lads who appeared, they were therefore discharged on payment of expenses; but as against Hemming, the oldest, and worst offender, the case was proved, and he was convicted and fine £1 1s 8d, including costs.  In default, one calendar month’s imprisonment.
