CORONATION CELEBRATIONS
A committee meeting was held at the Council Schools, Mr G A King presiding. Mr G Austen Jones reported that it would cost approximately £100 to put on a firework display on Coronation Day. It was resolved no firework display be included in the celebrations. Mr D A Jelfs reported that an invitation had been extended to Aldington residents to join with Badsey in the celebrations, but he understood that Aldington were organising their own celebrations.
The treasurer (Mr K G Johnson) stated there was now £168 0s 3d in the bank, approximately another £80 promised.
