BADSEY, WEDDING OF WELL-KNOWN FOOTBALLER

Many residents of Badsey and Bretforton attended Badsey Church on Monday when the wedding took place by the Vicar (Rev W C Allsebrook, RS) of Helen, daughter of the late Mr John Malin, a well-known resident of Badsey, and Geoffrey, the son of Mr Horace Knight of Bretforton.  The bridegroom is a well-known member of the Bretforton Old Boys’ Football Club.

Miss L Hill of Evesham was the bridesmaid, and the bride was also attended by four small girls carrying baskets of flowers, three being nieces of the bridegroom and one the sister of the bride.  The bride carried a sheaf of lilies as a bouquet, and was dressed in white crepe-de-chine, with wreath and veil.  Mr George Knight, brother of the bridegroom acted as best man.  A reception was held at the Old Schools when about 80 assembled.
