BADSEY, LATE MRS GOULD

It came as a great shock to many villagers of Badsey when they heard of the sudden death which occurred at her home on Thursday last week of Mrs Amy Jane Gould. Possessed of a genial nature she always had a cheery word to everyone who knew her and she will be sadly missed in the village. A native of Broadway. deceased was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Charles Hopkins of Badsey. Mrs Gould was 56 years of age and had lived at Badsey for the past 40 years and at the time of her death resided at 12 Synehurst, Badsey. The funeral took place on Saturday with a church service at St James' Church, Badsey, the service being conducted by the Vicar, the Rev J O Jeffreys.

Principal mourners were Miss Mary Gould (granddaughter), Mr T Simmonds (nephew), Mrs Morris (niece). Mr W Jones, friends at the church, Mr & Mrs Littlewood, Mrs G Crane. Mrs D Butler, Miss E, Collett. Friends of the family acted as bearers and were as follows: Messrs. W Sears, R Crane, W Knight, J Hartwell, G Knight, W B Andrews. Mrs Gould is survived by one son. There were many beautiful floral tributes including those from friends and neighbours.
