OBITUARY – MRS ROSE BELL, BADSEY 

The death occurred on Sunday at the home of her son, Mr W Bell, Belvedore,  Bretforton Road, Badsey, of Mrs Rose Bell of Manor Cottage. Aldington. 

Aged 78 years, Mrs Bell was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs J Boswell of Evesham, and the widow of Mr Alf Bell, who died 18 years ago. 

Of a retiring nature. Mrs R Bell had been in failing health for the past 12 months. and she is survived by one son and three grandchildren. The funeral took place on Wednesday at St James' Church, Badsey, the funeral service being conducted by the Vicar (the Rev W B Chapman). Mrs G Marshall played the organ. 

The family mourners were Mr & Mrs W Bell (son and daughter-in-law), Mr & Mrs S Jells (grandson and granddaughter), Miss L Boswell (sister), Mr P Boswell (brother), Mr & Mrs C Cook (nephew and niece), Mrs E Newman, Mrs F Birch. Mrs E Bell, Miss Pat Bell (nieces), Mr & Mrs R Bell (nepbew and niece), Mr & Mrs M Marshall, Mrs M Savory, Mrs B Wasley, Mrs C Jelfs, Mr C Haines, Mr J Taylor and Mr & Mrs P Harrison (friends). 

Also present were Mrs W Griffin, Mrs Mitchell, Mr J Mitchell,  Mr & Mrs A Griffiths, Mr & Mrs F Dore, Mrs L. Perry, Mrs Hawtins, Mrs T Taylor, Mr L Taylor, Mr W. Hartwell, Mr J Dore, Mrs W Tomkins, Mrs Greening, Mrs W Stewart, Mrs Taylor and Miss E Field. 

Among the flowers was a wreath from the Friends Meeting House, Aldington. 

Funeral arrangements were by Mr W E Williams, Swan Lane, Evesham.
