OBITUARY – MR A T CHARLWOOD, BLACKMINSTER

The sudden death of Mr Arthur Thomas Charlwood of Victoria Cottage, Blackminster, Badsey, took place at Evesham Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning.  Mr Charlwood had been in ill-health for only a few days, and his passing came as a great shock to his relatives.  Aged 72, he was a native of Evesham, where he was born, and for many years he was a market gardener on his own account in Offenham and Littleton.  For the past 40 years he had resided in Blackminster.  He saw active service in the 1914-18 war, and for several years was a member of the British Legion.  Mr Charlwood is survived by his widow, one son and one daughter.  The funeral took place at Cheltenham on Wednesday.
