Mr Jim Knight, 81 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs F Wells, of Chapel Lane, South Littleton, on Tuesday week.  A native of Badsey, Mr Knight was the seventh son of the late Mr & Mrs George Knight, and he won many prizes at Evesham asparagus shows.

The funeral at South Littleton on Friday was conducted by the Rev E F Waddy.  Family mourners were:  Mr Douglas Knight and Mr Harold Knight (sons), Mr & Mrs F Well and Mr & Mrs Beddis (daughters and sons-in-law), Mr Terry Knight (grandson), Messrs Ron, Percy, Albert and Harold Knight and Mr L Lea (nephews), Mrs W Knight and Mrs L Gould (sisters-in-law), Mr & Mrs J Lea (brother-in-law and sister).

Others present in church included Mr F and Mr M Mumford, Mrs A Careless and Miss V Mumford.
