BADSEY – THE LATE MR E J WILSON

The death took place at his home at Cherry House, Bretforton Road, on Friday afternoon of Mr Edward Joseph Wilson.  Deceased, who was in his 81st year, had been in failing health for some time past, but his death came very unexpectedly, as he was confined to his bed for only a day.  Born at Hodin, Cleeve Prior, Mr Wilson travelled a great deal, for after living at Gloucester, Cheltenham, and also for eight years in America, he came to live at Badsey, some 45 years ago.  After 17 years at the manor House, he removed to Cherry House.  Of a bright and cheery disposition, he had a word for all whom he met, which earned for him a wide circle of friends.  He leaves a widow, one daughter, and two sons.  The funeral took place at St James Church on Wednesday, the Vicar (Canon W C Allsebrook) officiating.  The family mourners were:  Mrs E J Wilson (widow), Mr & Mrs Joseph Wilson and Mr & Mrs T J Wilson (sons and daughters-in-law), Mr & Mrs C A Wilson (son-in-law and daughter), Mr S Farman, Mr H Farman and Mr T Farman (sons-in-law).
