The bride, who was given away by her father, was attended by one bridesmaid, her sister, Miss Joyce Stratford.  A friend of the bridegroom, Mr J Harrell, was best man.

The reception was held at the Northwick Hotel where relatives and friends were entertained.

Well known in the town, the bride received her education at the Thornbank School, Malvern Wells, and also, for a short period, at Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Evesham.
