Miss Marjorie Knight and Mr William Charles Knight
A wedding of considerable local interest took place at Middle Littleton on Saturday when Miss Marjorie Knight, eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs George Knight, 9 School Road, Middle Littleton, was married to Mr Williiam Charles Knight, eldest son of Mr & Mrs William Knight of Hinton Villa, Badsey.
The bridegroom is a member of the Badsey Rangers Football Club Committee and is on the committee of the Sandys Arms Club. He is also a member of the King Edward Air Gun Club.
The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev Douglas Trimmer.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a pale blue dress with blue hat and gloves and black shoes and carried a spray of carnations and maidenhair fern. As the couple left the church the bride was presented with lucky horseshoes by Miss Anita Banks (bridegroom’s niece) and Miss Stanley.
Miss Selina Knight (bridegroom’s sister), who was bridesmaid, wore a dress of dusty pink angora with accessories to tone, and her spray was of anemones.
Mr Percy Knight, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.
A reception at the Village Hall was attended by a large number of guests. Mr & Mrs Knight’s future home will be 4 Synehurst, Badsey.
