BADSEY WEDDING:  SADLER-TURNER

The wedding took place at St James’ Church on Saturday of Mr Henry George Sadler, eldest son of Mr & Mrs E Sadler of Tower View, Badsey, and Miss Ivy Irene Turner, daughter of Mr & Mrs P Turner of Lime Tree Avenue, Broadway.  The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar, Canon Allsebrook.

The bride was given away by her eldest brother, Mr Sidney Turner, and wore a navy blue pin stripe costume with hat and shoes to tone.  She wore a buttonhole of rose buds and lilies of the valley.  She was attended by her youngest sister, Miss B Turner, who wore a dress of wine-coloured marocain with hat and shoes to tone.  She also wore a buttonhole of lilies of the valley.  Mr H Welch was best man.

On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by her little niece, Miss D Turner.  A reception was held at the bridegroom’s home.  Mr & Mrs Sadler will reside at Claybrook, Badsey.
