Neville Chamberlain Married Today – but you had better read on

Mr Neville Chamberlin was married at Offenham Parish Church, near Evesham, today.

Wait a moment.  It could not, of course, be the Prime Minister – it was Henry Neville Chamberlain of Bristol, and no relation to his famous namesake.

His bride was Edith Mary Mead, only daughter of Mr & Mrs J G Mead of Blackminster, Evesham.

The bride, a former scholar of Warwick Girls’ High School and Evesham Grammar School, wore an aquamarine two-piece ensemble and carried pink roses.

There was one bridesmaid, Miss Irene Butler, and Mr E Chamberlain, the bridegroom’s brother, of Redditch, was best man.
