Saturday 24 March 1934 – Annual Pig Club Dinner

ANNUAL DINNER – The Badsey Pig Club held its third annual dinner at the Wheatsheaf Inn on Thursday, Mr G E Jones (Chairman) presiding.  An excellent repast was provided by the Host and Hostess (Mr & Mrs T Marshall).  In replying to “The Badsey Pig Club”, the Secretary (Mr G Crisp) said that these annual dinners were made possible by the strong financial position of the Club, mainly due to the staunch support of the members.  The company was afterwards entertained to a capital musical programme in which the following artistes took part:  Mr E Stephenson, Mr F Salter, Mr A Salter, M L Bennett, Mr G Bearcroft, Mr R Williams, Mr T Clarke, Mr F Taylor and Mr G E Jones.
