Titho Glynne JONES (1887-1917)

Biographical Details

Titho Glynne Jones (1887-1917) was a pupil at Christ College, Brecon, from 1897-1905, at the same time as some of the Sladden sons.  His father was formerly a master at Christ College.

Titho Jones was born at Soham, Cambridgeshire, the son of the Reverend Canon Edmund Osborne Jones and his wife, Ada.  The family later moved to Wales when his father became Vicar of Llanidloes.

Titho was gazetted in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers 1st/7th Battalion and was killed in action in Palestine on 20th April 1917, aged 30.  Lieutenant Jones was buried at Gaza Cemetery.
