BETTRIDGE, Harold (1897-1948) – Royal Field Artillery

Driver Harold Bettridge (1897-1948) was born in Pebworth, the son of Thomas and Mary Bettridge.  He attended Badsey School from April 1907 to March 1908 whilst living in Wickhamford, having previously been at school in Mickleton.  Harold was working as an apprentice baker in 1911, when the family was living in Charlton. 

No service records remain, but his medal record shows that he was in the Royal Field Artillery (No 128278).  He was awarded the Victory and British War medals.
