Details of Will

I Charles Jones of Primrose Cottage, Badsey, Market Gardener give:

  • All my real and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind unto my Trustees upon trust to sell collect receive and convert the same into money and out of the proceeds pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and to divide the net into eight equal parts and to pay one of such eight equal parts or shares to each of my children, Charles Frederick Jones, William Allen Jones, Martha Ellen Halford the wife of William Halford, Rosa Emily Crisp the wife of Elijah Crisp, George Edwin Jones, Amy Alice Dore the wife of John Dore and Florence Margaret March the widow of Charles March
  • And as to the remaining one equal eighth part for all the children of my daughter Ann Eliza Newbury the wife of Joseph Newbury who shall be living at my death to be divided between them in equal shares provided always that if any or either of my before named children shall die in my lifetime leaving a child or children who shall survive me and being a son or sons shall attain the age of 21 years or being a daughter or daughters shall attain that age or marry under that age then and in every case the last mentioned child or children shall take the share which his her or their parent would have taken if such parent had survived me
