1894c – Photo of Sladden Family in garden at Seward House

Description

This photograph was donated to the Braziers for the exhibition in 1971, either by Cyril Sladden or Juliet Sladden (the only two of eight Sladden siblings still living).

Several photos were obviously taken on the day, as a similar photo is now held at the Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service.

The photo shows the Sladden family group taken against the south side of Seward House, c1894 showing Julius and Eugénie Sladden with five of their seven children (Juliet had not yet been born and Ethel and George are missing).

  • Standing, left to right:  John (Jack) Dilnot Sladden, May Eugénie Sladden, Julius Sladden.
  • Seated, left to right:  Mary Kathleen Sladden, Eugénie Narcisse Sladden, Arthur Francis Savory Sladden, Cyril Edgar Sladden.
