Letter to the Reverend W H Price from John Smith & Sons (Frank & John H Smith, Partners), Midland Team Clock Works, Queen Street & Market Place, Derby, Manufacturers by Special Machinery of every description of Clocks, Chimes, Carillons etc for Cathedrals, Churches, Stables, Railway Stations, etc - concerning the proposed new clock:

Dear Sir

We beg to thank you for your favour respecting the proposed church clock, we should be quite willing to accept the following terms of payment if the order for the Westiminster chim clock was placed in our hands, £64 when clock was completed in the tower, £32 at end of first year and £32 at end of second year.  We sent a telegram to this effect this morning.

Soliciting your further favours which should have our prompt attention
