1961 wedding – David Caswell & June Caddick

On 11th November 1961, Richard David Caswell (known as David) married June Anne Caddick at St Michael’s Church, South Littleton.

David (1939-2019) was born at Badsey, the second of three sons of Richard Henry Caswell and his wife, Mabel Emily (née Clarke).  Following in the family tradition, David became a blacksmith like his father and grandfather before him.  It was his grandfather, Frank Ernest Caswell, who had established the blacksmith’s forge in Chapel Street, Badsey, in 1909.  June (1939-2011) was from South Littleton.

David and June had four daughters and remained living in Badsey for the rest of their lives.  All four of their daughters – Johanna, Sarah, Rebecca and Rachel – got married in St James’ Church, Badsey.

We are grateful to Rachel Lathan, the youngest daughter of David and June, for allowing us to publish a copy of this photo.
