COMMITMENTS TO THE COUNTY GAOL – By J F Iddins, Esq

Joseph Knight, charged with stealing a sheep skin, the property of Joseph Gibbs, also a sheep skin, the property of Joseph Jones, each of Badsey.

A further article appeared in The Worcester Journal of Thursday 10 April 1845:

Joseph Knight, 30, labourer, pleaded guilty on a charge of stealing a sheep skin, the property of Joseph Jones at Badsey; and another sheepskin, belonging to Joseph Gibbs, at the same parish, in the month of March last.  Sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment for each offence.
