BABY KILLED IN LORRY MISHAP

A 21-month-old girl was fatally injured when in collision with a lorry at market garden land, known as Over the Line land, Bretforton, late yesterday.

She was Rosemary Hay, daughter of Mr & Mrs Maurice Hay, 36 Horsebridge Avenue, Badsey.  It is understood that the baby was playing near the lorry which was loading produce and that the child’s parents were onion pulling and ting in the vicinity.  The father is a market gardener.

It is also understood that the fatality occurred when the lorry reversed before moving off.  The lorry, owned by Emms Transport, was driven by Mr W J Spiers of Middle Littleton.
