EVESHAM RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL – HOUSING MATTERS

With regard to housing schemes, the Surveyor reported that 16 houses were completed at Badsey and that the tenants were chosen.  A commencement had not been made with the additional houses.

The Surveyor reported that the six Wickhamford houses were nearing completion.  In connection with this scheme, the Surveyor reported that he had instructions to fell three trees in the front hedge.  This matter was left to Mr Carter and the Surveyor to deal with, and the Surveyor was given certain instructions thereon.

Regarding a house owned by Miss Sladden, near Sharps Row, Badsey, the Sanitary Inspector reported that he had issued the usual notice of time and place at which the question of demolition of the house would be considered.  Miss Sladden was not represented at the meeting and the Inspector submitted a letter from her stating that she had several applicants for the house, and that she was willing to carry out certain repairs in order to make the house habitable.  It was resolved that a committee consisting of Messrs C A Binyon, H Wheatley, E Carter and H Ashwin, be appointed to met at the house with the Medical Officer of Health and the Sanitary Inspector.
