Dear Mother
I have been rather out of sorts for several days, and don’t improve as I should wish. We have had no hard work so I have been doing practically nothing, dosing myself in accordance with the doctor’s orders. Since Wednesday morning we have been back near the scene of operations, and within artillery fire range, so we are sure to be actively employed again quite soon. I hope I shall develop a more serviceable interior before that time.
Love from
CES
