The Church Bells - The two new bells which have been purchased to complete the octave at Badsey Church arrived on Monday and were hung during the week. It will be remembered that the old bells were hung a short time ago. It is hoped that the new clock in the tower will be put in next month.
Reading Room - A meeting was held in the old school on Tuesday for the purpose of considering the advisability of starting a reading room for Badsey during the coming winter. After some discussion it was decided to start a reading room, the fees to be 6d on entrance and one shilling per month, to be paid in advance. It was decided that no one under the age of sixteen years should be admitted a member. A committee was appointed, and it is hoped to open the room at an early date.

Plums: Victorias very scarce, Pershores, on high ground, a fair crop, low-lying ground scarcely any; damsons a very poor crop. Cherries a failure. Hay and clover good crop, and got well. Wheat an average crop. Beans, looking well. Peas fair crop; grey peas looking well. Oats and mangels looking well. No hops grown here. A H Butler.

Besides the attraction of Mr Sladden's rose garden, which should then be in full beauty, an open air vocal and instrumental concert is being arranged, a ping-pong tournament will be held, and other attractions provided. Full particulars will shortly appear in our advertisement columns.
The Coronation - A public meeting was held in the Old School last Tuesday evening to consider the question of celebrating the Coronation day with becoming loyalty. It was determined to give a dinner to adults and a tea for the children, and to provide suitable sports and amusements for the day. A committee was formed to undertake the raising of funds and to make other arrangements. It was also agreed that the parishioners of Aldington and Wickhamford should be invited to join in the Badsey celebration should they desire to do so. A subsequent d
