Text of Letter

My darling

I hope to get off a nice long letter quite soon and send these few lines and let you know I am all right.

Everything is very nice except we do not get nearly enough to eat and very rough fare at that! My feet are very sore but I am treating them and hope they’ll soon be all right.

If I fall in love with a Belgium soldier don’t be surprised!

They are fine fellows and such good patients. The training here is not as good as at Bournemouth and the way the beds are made is appalling! I like the nurses in my ward very much and am quite happy.

All my love dear Boy.

God bless you.

Your Ever Mela
