Text of Letter

Too tired dear Heart to write tonight.  Fearful day.  However am taking a tonic to keep me going – am sure unless I am careful I shall never stand the strain.  11 operations today and the night nurses have had four since we came off duty and we did not get off until 5.20 instead of 4.30.
