Text of Letter

Dec 3rd

We have had a perfectly rotten time lately as the result of a terrific rainstorm last Friday followed by snow and frost. We are getting cleaned up at last. Letters could not be got through, and there was small chance of writing in any case. I was exceptionally lucky and kept self and belongings pretty dry and am none the worse now. I hope to let you have a letter very soon. There is a mail at HQ waiting to be distributed to us, the first for a long time.

Best love from
CES
