Dearest Eugénie,

Have had a nice trip to-day, am off early to-morrow for Ardrishaig so will write on board steamer for it is late and nearly bed time.

I was so glad to hear from you this morning, and to hear a good account of you all.  I am writing this merely that you may know that I shall communicate more fully to-morrow, and it is more than probable that both letters will arrive together, so good night.  Love and kisses to yourself and the chicks.

Your loving Husband

Julius Sladden
