Mary Anna Robinson (née Mourilyan, 1845-1924), known as Polly, was the sister of Eugénie Sladden.  The Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service at The Hive in Worcester contains 668 of her letters written to her sister between 1870 and 1916.  Only the letters covering the First World War period have been transcribed, but the others may be viewed at Worcester.

The sisters corresponded regularly until Eugénie’s death in 1916; the letters provide fascinating glimpses of family life.  Throughout this period, Polly lived at Marshgate House, Richmond, Surrey.  She also wrote from various holiday destinations, including pre-war visits to France, Belgium and Germany.
