My Dearest Mother

I am so glad you are soon coming home, and Kitty too, we shall be so glad to have you back.  I do like it best with you at home.  We have such a lot of things to tell you about.

One Sunday we went with Phillis to St Lawrence Church at Evesham, that was nice, Phillis said we behaved very well but there was one little girl there who was naughty and two boys, I am glad they were not in our pew.

We did like the Xmas tree at Mr Hunt’s so much, we went to bed very late it was half-past nine, we soon went to sleep.

With much love and a great many kisses I remain

Your loving child May E Sladden
