Louisa ?

Biographical Details

Louisa (surname unknown) was a girl from Badsey who helped out at Seward House from time to time.

From the end of June 1915, the Sladden family no longer had a live-in servant, so Louisa came in from time to time.

On 7th July 1915, May Sladden wrote to her mother who was away visiting relatives:  “Louisa washed on Monday and came half a day yesterday, but not today.”  And the following week:  “We have got on quite well this week with Louisa here on Tuesday and Friday afternoons and of course tomorrow afternoon.  She can do all the necessary cleaning in that time and the house is very tidy and clean.”
