Frances Dora Sladden (1912), known as Dora, was the great-niece of Julius Sladden, being the daughter of Percival John Sladden, who was the son of Julius Sladden’s elder brother, Dilnot (1842-1906).  Dora is mentioned in one letter written by her aunt, Dolly, on 3rd October 1915.

Dora Sladden was born at Marton, New Zealand, on 3rd February 1912 at Marton, the fifth of six children of Percy and Mary Sladden, and the youngest surviving.

Dora married John Francis Openshaw on 23rd July 1940 at Eastbourne, New Zealand.

John died in 1976 and Dora died on 16th November 1984.  They were both buried at St Stephen's Anglican Cemetery, Rangitikei district.
