Dorothy Mary FURZE (later KINSMAN) (1884-1974)

Biographical Details

Dorothy Mary Kinsman, née Furze (1884-1974), married Lieutenant Kinsman, a colleague of George Sladden, at the start of the First World War.

Dorothy Furze was born on 18th October 1884 at Buckhurst Hill, Essex, the daughter of Herbert Furze and Mary Ford Furze.  She was baptized at Chigwell, Essex, on 19th November 1884.

On 19th September 1914 Dorothy married Lieutenant James Charles Patrick Kinsman of the Civil Service Rifles at St Stephen’s Church, Kensington. 

They had two sons:  John Charles Keith McCulloch (1918-1942) and Richard James Douglas McCulloch (1926).

James died in 1958.  Dorothy died in Hampshire in 1974, aged 90.
