Biographical Details

Grace Raphael Westcott (1868-1954) was an American citizen who lived next-door to Fanny Walton (the niece of Eugénie Sladden) and her family at Twickenham.

Grace was born in America on 5th October 1868.  She married John Townsend Westcott, a gas engineer, in about 1894 and had one daughter, Margaret Townsend Westcott, born at Richmond on 11th July 1901.  The Westcotts split their time between America and England.  In England, they lived at 11 Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, from at least 1910-1915.

On one occasion in February 1914, they dined with Fanny’s mother, Mary Anna Robinson, at Marshgate House, Richmond.

At the time of the 1939 register, the Westcotts lived at Brent Tor, Westcliff Road, Bournemouth.

Grace died in Bournemouth in 1954; her husband had died ten years earlier.
