Mesopotamia (Iraq) - Tuz

Tuz Khurmati is situated on the Tigris, 55 miles south of Kirkuk in modern-day Iraq.  During the First World War, Tuz was captured by the British on 29th April 1918.  Cyril Sladden and the 9th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment were involved in the capture.
