Surrey - Byfleet: The Lodge

Byfleet is a village in Surrey located in the far east of the borough of Woking.

The Lodge at Byfleet was the home of Eugenié Sladden’s sister, Fanny Butler, and family.  They moved to the house in September 1896.  Fanny’s husband, Charlie Butler, died at The Lodge on 8th August 1898.  Fanny did not remain long at The Lodge after Charlie’s death.  By March 1899 she was living in Weybridge.
