BADSEY – MARRIAGE OF MISS E M MOISEY
Sixth daughter of Mr & Mrs G Moisey of Bredon Villa, Miss Edith Miriam Moisey was married at St James’ Church on Wednesday afternoon to Mr Ernest Lugg, second son of Mr & Mrs Lugg of 6 Coffice Gardens, Stone, Staffs. Given away by her father, the bride was attired in a silk dress printed with pink roses and fastened down the back to the waist with pink velvet buttons and trimmed with a sash of pink velvet. She wore a pink picture hat and shoes to tone.
FOOTBALL SECRETARY MARRIED – Mr R A Geden of the Offenham Club
Hon Secretary of Offenham Football Club and a well-known footballer in the Evesham district, Mr Reginald Albert Geden, youngest son of Mr and the late Mrs R Geden of Parks Farm, Aldington, was married in St James’ Church, Badsey, on Saturday to Miss Dorothy May Carter, elder daughter of Mr & Mrs W G Carter of Ivy Lane, Bretforton.

Eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs Norris Haines of Wickhamford, and sister of Jack Haines, the Evesham Town footballer, who joined Liverpool last November, Miss Doris Haines was married at Badsey on Saturday to Mr Leslie Shelley, only son of Mr & Mrs E Shelley of Badsey.
BADSEY WEDDING – Miss N Crisp and Mr F E Jones
Members of the Evesham Ladies’ Hockey Club formed a guard of honour for Miss Nancy Crisp when she was married to Mr Francis Edward Jones in St James’ Church, Badsey, on Tuesday.
The bride is the second daughter of Mr & Mrs E Crisp of the Post Office, Badsey, and the bridegroom is the second son of Mr & Mrs G Jones of Norfolk House, Badsey.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER MARRIED
The wedding took place at St James’ Church on Saturday of Miss Ida Marian Elizabeth Hartwell, second daughter of Mr & Mrs T W Hartwell of The Silk Mills, and Mr William Henry Esmond Churchley, eldest son of the late Mr & Mrs S Churchley of 15 Burford Road, Evesham.
The bride, who is a native of Badsey, has taken a great interest in the social life of the parish, having been a member of the GFS for 14 years and also a Sunday School teacher for several years. She is also a member of the Women’s Institute.
