My Dearest Wife,

I arrived here in good time last evening, I find Grandma very bonny and she went to Church this morning.

Aunt Susan has hardly recovered yet from her late attack.  It is very mild here and rained a good bit last night.  Don’t forget to post George’s parcel on Tuesday, they are sending a hamper from here but had no apples to send so that is just right.  How did the chicks get on at the rehearsal?  I have really but little to write about so will conclude with love to you all

Your affectionate Husband

Julius Sladden
