Letters from Clara Emily Brown Constable (1867-1934), mother of Mela Brown Constable

Clara Emily Brown Constable, née Wall (1867-1934), was the mother of Mela Brown Constable, Cyril Sladden’s fiancée.

The Worcestershire Archive and Archaeology Service at The Hive in Worcester contains one letter written from her home in Boulogne to her daughter’s future mother-in-law, Eugénie Sladden, in 1913.  The Imperial War Museum contains two letters:  one to her future son-in-law, Cyril Sladden, in 1914, and one to her daughter, Mela, in 1916.
