Dear Miss Sladden

Just this card to let you know I received your postcard and parcel quite safe and was very pleased with it, it was a splendid muffler and it will keep me warm for the coming winter. It was a most excellent parcel indeed and I wish you to thank the children of your school on my behalf, hoping to thank them myself in person when this unfortunate war comes to an end. Thanking you again for your most excellent parcel.

Believe me, I remain yours sincerely
S Hale
