In reply to your letter of enquiry about your son I am directed to inform you that the 9th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment is still in the Caspian area and the brigade of which this battalion forms part has reoccupied Baku.
Communication with this area is by a long and difficult route and delay in the receipt of letters should not necessarily be a cause of anxiety. Letters addressed “Dunsterforce” would still reach your son but as this organization has been absorbed into the Army in Mesopotamia the only address necessary is his unit and “Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force”.
