The artist, Tony Royle, retired to Badsey in 1959 and died in early 1966.  Until retirement, George Edward Anthony (Tony) Royle was the cartoonist “Belinda” in The Daily Mirror.  Tony Royle and his wife, Una, lived at The Little Cottage, High Street.
