My dearest Mother
Just a line to say we are off in the early hours of tomorrow morning. We are not told where we are to be stationed, but as things appear at present, I should think NW Belgium or N France is most probable. I hope Uncle Fred has been able to leave Brussels, things look bad there.
I am wondering where George is, perhaps you’ll get news of him soon. How far I’ll be able to keep in touch with you all is difficult to say at present. Later on anyway I should think letters will be allowed to go home.
With very much love to you all.
From your son
Arthur
